New Wireless & Sensor Networks Course

In Fall 2015, Dr. Feng Wang, Assistant Professor, will teach a new special topic course on Wireless and Sensor Networks (Engr 691-64).

Using wireless and sensor networks as a case study, this course will analyze loosely coupled computer communication, communication protocols, and network services. It will both cover basic concepts and explore related research topics. Students will learn to write nesC (an embedded C dialect) programs that execute on TinyOS (an embedded operating system for wireless sensor networks) and learn to develop mote-based wireless and sensor network systems.

Prerequisite: CSci 561 or consent of instructor

Recommended Textbook: James F. Kurose and Keith W. Ross. Computer Networking: A Top-Down Approach, 6th Edition, Addison Wesley, 2012.
