Vertical Usages of 4G

Abstract: The age of 4G is coming. Are you ready? Exciting? What is the difference between 4G and 3G, WiFi? Can we build a 4G network as our university wireless network, just like our university WiFi? Yes, we can, and we can access the university 4G wireless network at everywhere of the campus, indoor and outdoor, park and lawn. This presentation will first discuss the basic concepts of 4G, LTE and WiMax, then discuss how to build a 4G private network. At last, some practical issues and experiment results will be discussed, including the seamless roaming between 4G and WiFi, and the method of renting the 4G radio.
Bio: Zhaohua Yi got the Bachelor and Master Degree of Engeering in 2002 and 2005 from China, Bejing Technonogy and Business University and Tsinghua University correspondingly. He worked in Intel China Research Center as a senior software enginner and project manager from 2005 to 2013. In August 2013, He joined in the olemiss computer science and informatin department as a PhD student. He is now the research assistant of Dr. Xue, and his current research interest is computer vision.
