Programming Team Competes

On Saturday, November 6, an Ole Miss student programming team competed strongly in the ACM Regional Programming Competition on the campus of Murray State University in Kentucky. The team, consisting of senior William Panlener, junior Michael Macias, and freshman Lee Dubose, solved five of the nine problems in five hours, a significant accomplishment. The team finished 2nd among the 14 teams at the Murray site and 44th overall among the 138 teams in the Mid-Central ACM Region.

The team was coached by PhD student James Church, a veteran of past programming teams from the University of Tennessee at Martin and Ole Miss.
