If you have an urgent email
request or inquiry, please be sure to include your name in
the reply-to field and the nature of your inquiry in the
subject field. That will help me to distinguish your message
from routine programming exercise submissions, etc.
Email spam and junk email:
Probably you receive lots of unwanted spam and junk email
yourself. I use an extensive set of filters to delete messages which
contain many different words and phrases in the from: and subject:
fields. In order to make sure that your message gets past my filters,
make sure that you do not use spam-like terminology in your email.
Better still, in order to get past my filters, include your name
and the number of the course in which you are enrolled in the subject
of your email. If the course number is detected in the subject field,
then your message should be received by me, and an automatic reply will be
sent to you also right away.
