- The schedule has been posted.
- James pointed out the following web page that has
detailed instructions for using BibTeX:
http://www-math.cudenver.edu/~billups/courses/ma5779/annotated_bibliography. If you prefer to use pdf instead of postscript, you can
probably replace the "dvips" command with "pdflatex". More
information about LaTeX and BibTeX, including downloads, is available
at http://www.latex-project.org/.
- First critique on Principles of Dataspaces due
Tuesday, January 29th. See the list of papers below.
- For Thursday, January 24th, read the paper From
Databases to Dataspaces: A New Abstraction for Information
Management, by Franklin, Halevy, Maier, SIGMOD Record,
December 2005. We'll critique it in class that day.
- I posted some ideas to help writing your critiques
- The papers should now have restricted access. Use
the username "student" and password "abc123" to gain
access.
- First class is Thursday, January 17th.
- This is a seminar course. There is no textbook.
