Weir Hall, Room 235
Presenter: Sam Gordji
Statistical Consultant, Information Technology,
University of Mississippi
Mathematica includes a symbolic and numeric computation engine as well
as a graphics system, full programming language, documentation
system, and integration with other applications. It is commonly used
in mathematics, statistics, engineering, economics, and the sciences
in general.
The University of Mississippi recently purchased a site license for
Mathematica. This means that every student at the University can use
Mathematica for free. For more information about the University's site
license, please see:
http://www.mcsr.olemiss.edu/computing/mathematica.html.
This seminar will cover the basics of Mathematica. From there, users
can explore the rest of Mathematica on their own.
