Letter to Alumni & Friends
Since 1975 the Department of Computer and Information Science has
produced over 800 alumni. Our alumni have achieved success in
industry, higher education, and government. From college campuses,
doctors' offices, and courtrooms, to corporate board rooms and
government agencies, our alumni have gone on to a wide variety of
careers. If you are a graduate of the department and wish to post your
profile, please
contact us.
Alumni Involvement
-
30th Anniversary - in 2005 we will be celebrating
30 years of computer science education at Ole Miss. We are looking
for ideas for an event that will bring our alumni back to share in
this celebration. Please
email us with your
suggestions (football game, banquet, alumni weekend, etc).
-
Alumni Guest Lecturer - alumni can come back and share their
experience and expertise with our students. Please contact
Dr. Conrad Cunningham, the chair of CIS, if you are interested.
-
Engineering Career Fair - each year the School of Engineering hosts
two career fairs. We hope your company will attend and hire Ole Miss
graduates from CIS and other departments. For more information, please
contact
Jonathan Harrington
with the Ole Miss Career Center.
-
Financial Support, - please consider joining the
Woods Order to help us keep our computers, equipment, and
classrooms up-to-date. We hope to have 30 new Woods Order members
supporting computer science by the end of our 30th
Anniversary year in 2005.
